The US Soybean Export Council (USSEC) has announced a significant change in its leadership for the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia (MENASA) region. Kevin Roepke, who previously served as the Regional Director, has been promoted to Executive Director.
In his new role, Mr. Roepke will be responsible for leading USSEC’s efforts to build strong relationships and increase market access for US soy products across the MENASA region. This initiative aims to benefit both American soy farmers and international customers.
Jim Sutter, CEO of USSEC, expressed confidence in Mr. Roepke’s leadership. He stated that the new structure will sharpen USSEC’s focus on key priorities and vital relationships. This ensures that US soy continues to be a reliable choice for customers worldwide. Mr. Sutter anticipates that Mr. Roepke will significantly enhance US soy’s presence and partnerships in the region.
The updated regional structure is designed to improve efficiency and better align the council’s talent. It will ensure that USSEC continues to provide valuable and impactful programmes to international customers on behalf of American soybean farmers and its members.
This structural adjustment is crucial for USSEC to achieve its strategic goals in a dynamic global market. The council aims to be well-positioned to adapt to changing market conditions and opportunities.
Mr. Roepke shared his enthusiasm for his new responsibilities. He highlighted his dedication to connecting American soybean farmers with the global market. He believes that the sustainable farming practices of these farmers contribute to economic growth and improve nutrition security, both domestically and internationally.
“We will continue to expand USSEC’s vision of establishing trust amongst our stakeholders to maximise utilisation and value of US soya throughout this great region,” Mr. Roepke stated. He emphasised the importance of trust in maximising the use and value of US soya in the MENASA area.
This leadership change is expected to strengthen USSEC’s commitment to supporting the soybean industry and fostering international trade.
